Dr. Mahadevan has overall responsibility of iLink’s Strategy, Marketing and Alliance efforts. Dr. Mahadevan returned to iLink for a second innings with the company in 2017 after spending 4 years in India as the CEO and MD of the Institute of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (I-AIM) and Professor, School of Health Sciences, Transdisciplinary University (TDU), Bangalore. His leadership helped turnaround the 100-bed I-AIM hospital, which had been in the red for the 3 years since its inception, and the hospital not only became financially self-sustaining but also doubled in revenues during his tenure. As COO of Isha Arogya Research Foundation, he also recently helped set up a similar Integrative Healthcare Centre in Chennai.

A Pharmacy Gold Medalist from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani, he holds a second Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. He received his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Minnesota. He pursued a Masters in Science & Technology Entrepreneurship at the Case Western Weatherhead School of Management while conducting post-doctoral research at the Cleveland Clinic. In addition to entrepreneurship, he is interested in sustainable grassroots development activities and served as the President of the Minnesota chapter of the Association for India’s Development (AID), a NGO (non-profit).

Several years back, Dr. Mahadevan spent a year as a Visiting Scientist at C-CAMP looking at technologies within the NCBS (National Center for Biological Sciences) ecosystem that can be commercialized or taken to market. Since then, he has been passionate about responsible entrepreneurship in Healthcare, Biotech, Non-profits, Integrative Medicine, Social Ventures, Education and IT, and serves as a mentor and advisor to several startups. He is also an active investor and advisor in Ah Ventures, an Angel investor club. Apart from CXO experience coordinating and managing cross-functional teams with full P&L responsibility, Dr. Mahadevan is passionate about mentoring and strategy for B2B and B2C start-ups. His experience includes Market Research, Due Diligence, Technology and IP evaluation, Business Development, User Experience, Marketing, Account Management, Product Development and Project Management.
